BALKAN OFFROAD RALLYE

BALKAN OFFROAD RALLYE 24-30.10.2022
In the 10th anniversary edition, the rally returned to its roots - to the Carpathian Mountains, in the central part of Romania. The routes were very diverse - a mixture of high-speed routes, alpine routes, climbing and downhill elements. The rally lasted 6 days, guaranteed about 900 stage kilometers, two camps (in Sighisoara and Alba Iulia) and a lot of fun!
We serviced 5 crews:
#118 Patrycja Brochocka and Karolina Zysnarska in Canam Maverick in SSV class
#216 Grzegorz Brochocki and Grzegorz "Bzyku" Komar in Toyota LC 200 in cars limited class
#217 Krzysztof "Wincent" Wicentowicz and Ania Kromolicka in Dacia Duster in the cars open class
#218 Bartek Wajzer and Patryk Sudoł in Dacia Duster in the cars limited class
#219 Jarek Andrzejewski and Maciej "Kopara" Radomski in Korba (Toyota LC 90)
As the organizer promised, the competitors struggled with various conditions on the route: mud, navigation traps, many wet places, mountain routes! There were many sharp climbs, steep descents, narrow passages in the forest, stones larger than a wheel and rain waiting for the drivers. In addition to these conditions, there were even faster gravel parts in the style of wrc in a mountain valley (rocks on one side, and forest / river and slope on the other) with many bridges and sharp turns, and also long runs through hills, clearings with beautiful mountain views or narrow trips between the corn fields!
After 6 days of driving (15 km prologue and 5 days full of rally struggles) everyone was at the finish line!
All crews were finishers and here are their places:
- Grzegorz Brochocki and Grzegorz Komar for 1st place in the limited class
- Bartek Wajzer and Patryk Sudoł for the 3rd place in the limited class
- Jarek Andrzejewski and Maciej Radomski for 2nd place in open class (walterteam.pl)
# 118 Patrycja Brochocka and Karolina Zysnarska took 5th place in the SSV class / out of 43 vehicles, it is a fantastic result! And the girls were the only fully female crew
# 217 Krzysztof "Wincent" Wicentowicz and Ania Kromolicka took 8th place in open class! It was the first marathon of both Wincent and Ania (and her debut in piloting!)
Additionally, Bartek Wajzer and Patryk Sudoł took 1st place in the RBI Grand Masters Award classification, which consisted of a series of 3 rallies: Fenix Rally, Breslau Poland, Balkan Offroad Rallye
Congratulations to all other Polish crews for the podium and for completing the rally !!!
